Louis Peter Skoby

August 3, 1960 – March 1, 2018

Louis Peter Skoby grew up in Encino, CA, where he was a lifetime member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church. He graduated from Birmingham High School in 1978 and received his Bachelor of Arts in Business from the University of Southern California in 1982. During his time at USC he was a proud member of Kappa Sigma fraternity; holding the position of president.

Pursuing his passion for Greek music, Lou professionally played the bouzouki for the band The Hellenic Sounds for 20 years touring at venues across the country. He then embarked on a successful solo career playing across the world. However, his passion to create did not stop at music. He worked side-by-side for 25 years with his wife, Lisa, as co-owner of their company LS Jewelers designing beautiful, custom pieces of jewelry for clients worldwide. Together, the two of them traveled extensively and enjoyed life and each other to the fullest.

Although he wore many hats, Lou was an extremely proud father to his son Alexander who is currently in his third year of medical school at the University of New England.

Lou is survived by his loving wife Lisa, son Alexander, mother Helen Skoby, sisters Michelle Harper and Chrissy Anagnos, brother-in-laws Michael Sherman, Thomas Harper and Gus Anagnos, nephews John Kensinger, Henry Harper, Luka and Chris Anagnos. He was a loving husband and fantastic father. He loved and is loved and will be dearly missed by all. Funeral services were held at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Northridge, CA.
