Rave Reviews at Arizona Musical Fellowship Event
By Eva Canellos (PR Contact for Orthodox Christian Choral Fellowship)
“Inspiring! Fun! Wonderful!” These are some of the glowing comments from participants of a recent Pan-Orthodox music and fellowship event involving parishioners from various Orthodox Christian churches across Arizona.
The event, “One Day, One Hymn, One Church,” was held Sept. 21 at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church in Scottsdale, AZ, and was attended by 65 enthusiastic men, women, and children from churches of Greek, OCA, Antiochian, and Romanian Orthodox jurisdictions.
They learned and sang a new choral arrangement of an Orthodox Christmas hymn, “Christ Is Born! Glorify Him!” by Rev. Michael Pallad of St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church in Peoria, AZ. Following rehearsals and lunch, they made a video recording which will be posted on social media. The event was sponsored by Orthodox Christian Choral Fellowship, a nonprofit organization.
Another music-fellowship event will be held Mar. 14, 2020, at St. George Orthodox Church in Phoenix, AZ.
