Award-winning actor, talented musician and devout Orthodox Christian Jonathan Jackson will be the special guest speaker at the 2019 Young Adult League Conference to be held over Labor Day Weekend in Long Beach, CA.
On Friday, August 30, Jonathan will be the special guest speaker and he will share his personal journey to Orthodoxy, living life in a high-profile profession while maintaining his faith, and the importance of proclaiming one’s beliefs and putting those beliefs into action.
“We look forward to Jonathan’s participation in the YAL Conference. Through all of his success, he has not allowed his success to overshadow his beliefs. Rather, he is one who puts his faith into action through his words and deeds, using every opportunity to proclaim his faith in God,” stated His Eminence Metropolitan Gerasimos. “I know that the YAL Conference participants will find him to be approachable, sincere, and they will be amazed at his inspirational message and musical talent.”
Jonathan Jackson has starred in numerous TV and films including “Nashville”, “General Hospital”, “Tuck Everlasting” and several others. Jonathan is a devoted Orthodox Christian who dedicated his fifth EMMY® to the Mother of God, the Theotokos, on Mount Athos. He is also the lead singer and writer for the band ENATION which recently completed an international tour. Jonathan is committed to raising awareness to combat the growing global atrocity of modern-day slavery and human trafficking.
During the weekend, Jonathan will be joined by his wife, Elisa Vultaggio Jackson, where they will discuss their own personal relationship, how their faith in God brought them together, and how to be a living example of their Orthodox Christian faith as a couple, and as parents. Elisa was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada. She started her acting career at the age of 17, starring in many television shows and movies. She moved to California and eventually booked a leading role on General Hospital, where she met her husband, Jonathan Jackson. Elisa and Jonathan live in Tennessee with their three beautiful children.
